Description

Create a stunning Valentine’s Day Dessert Board filled with fresh fruits, chocolates, cookies, cheeses, and nuts. Perfect for sharing, this board is a delightful combination of sweet, crunchy, and savory flavors that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Fruits: 1 lb strawberries, 0.5 lb raspberries, 0.5 lb blueberries
  • Chocolates: 8-10 oz assorted chocolates (truffles, dark, or milk chocolates)
  • Cookies: 8-12 cookies (chocolate chip, sugar cookies with pink icing)
  • Cheese: 4-6 oz creamy cheese (brie or goat cheese)
  • Nuts: 4-6 oz almonds, cashews, or mixed nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits:
    • Wash all fruits under cool running water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
    • Cut strawberries into halves if desired, and shape watermelon slices using heart-shaped cookie cutters.
  2. Assemble the board:
    • Arrange fruits on the board, spacing them for visual balance.
    • Place larger chocolate pieces like truffles in focal spots and fill gaps with smaller chocolate squares.
  3. Add cookies and cheese:
    • Position cookies at the corners or stack them neatly for a layered look.
    • Cut cheese into bite-sized wedges and place near complementary items like nuts or honey.
  4. Finish with nuts and decor:
    • Scatter nuts throughout the board, filling in open spaces.
    • Add optional decorations like flowers or candles to enhance the presentation.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, drizzle honey over cheese or serve with small bowls of spreads like Nutella.
  • Use parchment paper to separate items if needed for cleanliness.
  • Customize the board with your favorite treats, like macarons or pretzels.
