Ingredients

  • 3 cups short-grain sushi rice (cooked & seasoned)
  • 8 oz imitation crab meat (shredded)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (regular or Japanese)
  • ¼ cup green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Rice: Cook sushi rice, season with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, and spread half into a baking dish.
  3. Mix Filling: Combine crab, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and green onions. Spread over rice layer.
  4. Layer & Bake: Add the remaining rice on top, press gently, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • Add a drizzle of sriracha or sesame oil for extra flavor.
  • Garnish with additional green onions or nori strips for an authentic touch.
  • Serve warm with seaweed sheets for scooping.
