Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (or 1 tbsp dried oregano)

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Make Dough: Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Stir until combined, then knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
  3. First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Shape Rolls: Punch down dough and divide into 10 pieces. Shape each into a ball.
  5. Garlic Butter: Combine minced garlic, remaining butter, and parsley or oregano.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, brush with garlic butter, and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
