Description

A crispy, golden crust with tender, juicy chicken inside. This Parmesan Crusted Chicken is simple yet indulgent, perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6 oz each)
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a light coating of olive oil.
  2. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and pat dry the chicken breasts. Set up two bowls—one with beaten eggs and another with the breadcrumb and Parmesan cheese mixture.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat it thoroughly in the breadcrumb and Parmesan mix. Press gently to ensure an even layer.
  4. Bake: Place the coated chicken on the baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding herbs such as basil or oregano to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, use whole wheat breadcrumbs or skip the olive oil drizzle.
  • Ensure the chicken is spaced out on the baking sheet for the best crisp.
