Ingredients
- Pretzels: 2 cups, regular or mini
- Chocolate Chips: 12 ounces (semi-sweet, milk, white, or dark)
- Coconut Oil (optional): 1 tablespoon for smoother chocolate texture
- Toppings (optional):
- Crushed nuts (e.g., almonds or pecans) – 1 cup
- Colorful sprinkles – ½ cup
- Sea salt flakes for a touch of extra saltiness
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate
Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted. If using coconut oil, add it to the chocolate before melting to achieve a smoother consistency. - Dip the Pretzels
Using a fork or tongs, dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Gently shake off excess chocolate back into the bowl to prevent clumping. - Add Toppings
While the chocolate on the pretzels is still wet, sprinkle your choice of toppings over each pretzel. Place the coated pretzels on a parchment-lined tray to prevent sticking. - Let Them Set
Allow the chocolate-covered pretzels to set at room temperature or refrigerate for faster hardening (about 30 minutes).
